Cremation services can be as detailed and personalized as burial services.
Once cremated, a loved one’s cremated remains may be placed in an urn and taken to a final resting place such as a cemetery, memorial garden, columbarium or a family member’s home. Others choose to have the cremated remains scattered in an area special to the deceased, over land, air or water (where permitted by law).
Sometimes, cremated remains are divided into several urns. Smaller keepsake urns are available for this option, as well as cremation jewellery.
If you choose cremation, a funeral service is appropriate, and recommended. Options range from a traditional service with a casket, visitation and procession, to a memorial service without the deceased present.
